"Prasanna Jothidamani" Madurai Thilak.Ki.Baskaran was born at 03.59.25 Hrs on 05-01-1964 at Bodinayakkanur, Tamil Nadu and grown up in Uththamapaalayam, a near by place of Bodinayakkanur. He has his schooling in St. Joseph middle School, Uththamapaalayam. He tried his hands in various fields, as he could not complete his 10th Std and settled down in his family business of Book Printing and Binding work. As days were passing Baskaran met Mr.Thirunavukkarasu, who was an exponent of Drawing, palmistry, numerology, phrenology etc., Mr.Thirunavukkarasu was a friend of his friend Mr.Abdul Azis and both met in the electrical goods shop of Azis. Mr.Bhaskaran used to take care of the sale in the shop,while Azis and Thirunavukkarasu used to discuss about astrology, which Baskaran keenly observed

Mr.Bhaskaran started living along with his sister’s family in Madurai as the life in Uththamapalayam was troublesome due to some issues. Bhaskaran was helping his Brother in law - uncle in his two wheeler workshop and also doing the leather binding works in the library of the TVS Sundaram Sewing Needle company. After some time He joined in the Fenner India V belt company as a security. Later Bhaskaran along with his Uncle Mr.Rajendran ventured in the Two wheeler workshop and painting Art works. Bhaskaran excelled in the painting art works in a unique way. Mr.Bhaskaran learnt the Krishnamurthy Pathathi system of Astrology, as he was not satisfied with the other systems of astrology. The maths based scientific approach of KP system has attracted Mr.Bhaskaran and he was sharing predictions based on KP System. However his predictions were not coinciding with the real life happenings. This has created an aversion in the mind of Mr.Bhaskaran and he was away from practising astrology for a while. The bitter troubles he faced made him to introspect his life events in consonant with astrology. The introspection moved him to research in astrology and he met so many practising astrologers. The inquisitive nature of Mr.Bhaskaran has made him to understand that the incorrect predictions of many of the astrologers were because of the disarrayed application methodologies of astrology. As the inquisitive mind was searching the ways to synchronise the methodologies for a real life prediction, Mr.Bhaskaran has met Mr.Rathinam Pillai. The meeting of Mr.Rathinam Pillai at 11.10 Hrs on 21.07.1985 at Bhaskaran’s home at Uththamapalayam, has shed light in the mind of Mr.Bhaskaran on the CUSPAL INTERLINKs of 9 planets and the 12houses in the Rasi Chart.

ASTROLOGY, A SCIENCE? OR A TRUE WISDOM ?
The traditional way of imbibing knowledge in all fields was done through Gurukula Education, verbal information, spiritual rituals, festivals, proverbs, riddles, stories and in every aspect of day today living activities. They have encoded the scientific aspects in the above said forms. In due course of time and with the introduction of foreign cultures in India, the native knowledge has forgotten the scientific base and started believing that Astrology is based on wisdom of the Astrologers rather than the scientific calculations and their application in astrology. This is the observation of Mr.Bhaskaran.

The functioning of Universe is subject to the equilibrium of force among it’s components, which is stabilising the existence of all. The push and pull of the components on each other is applied in the Astrology, which forms the base for Mr.K.Bhaskaran’s system of Astrology. In Bhaskara System, only 8 Rules and 8 Exceptions are applied, which paves way for the universal way of predictions like the science, which can be proved in testing conditions anywhere and by any body. This type of predictions, based on the Cuspal Interlinks is followed only in Bhaskara’s System of Astrology.Bhaskaran has faithfully emphasises that the application of such scientific aspects in astrology could break all the barriers of human life, universally and help people to predict and plan their life accordingly in a positive way.

Variants in Astrology :
Generally, the Astro predictions are given based on the planetary positions and the Cusps where the Planets are present in the Rasi Chakra. An introspection started in me, When the Cuspal effects are felt, where there was no planet present or cuspal effects are not felt where the planets are present. The fact was explored among astrologers. The fact was that most of them are in a guess prediction and had a common doubt that how predictions can be given for children born on a same day, where only Moon’s position could be varying.

After reading many anthologies and treatises I doubted that all the wisdom of our ancestors have been carried over to us by way of word of mouth and other ways, over the generations, in full or partially. Continuing my searches I could understand that our elders have basically classified the Ways of Predictions in the following ways.

Joshyam :
This system follows the Birth time Natal Chart and predictions from birth to death, based on that. This is the long lasting system followed widely and discussed. Vaakyam, Thirukkanitham, Lahiri, BV.Raman system, KP system, Bhaskara system are the major systems based on the Birth time Natal Chart and Planetary Positions, dhisaa bukhthi, and transition.
Aarudam :
This system is followed in the case people those who donot know their birth date, time and place, in short for those who don’t have Birth Natal Chart. In this system the time of the arrival of the person before the astrologer gets prominence and Chart is prepared on this current time. This is can be used for answering questions on issues only and not for predictions on life events.No natal Chart or Dhisa Bukthi predictions in this system.

Why Bhaskara System evolved ?

I have an inherent involvement in astrology and that made me learn many an Astrology books. Learned various methods of Astrology from many Astrologers. When i was applying the knowledge and wisdom i have gained by the years of practice in Astrology, many of my clients have accepted my way of inferences, and some have negated. When the positive inferences were discussed with other Astrologers, they have either refused to accept my inferences or termed it as my divine Word power, or because of the Karma of the client! I could not accept the observations of other colleagues. Hence I have decided to continue my explorations in Astrology. It was 13-02-1990, 1PM. Moon was in it’s own star Hastham, in Kanya. A new outlook has dawned on me. Usually we take up the Footing of the Grahaas – Planets. Why not we take up the footing of the Bhaavaas – Cusps. I applied the new thought in my own horoscope. I found out that the happenings in my life were matching with my horoscope, as per my new observations. Then onwards, i started applying my CUSP and Paathaachaara – Parts of a Star, formula in my predictions. Many of those colleagues have accepted my findings. This way of prediction was possible only for Dhisa and Bhukthi only and not beyond that. While continuing this in predictions, a ray of thought on the Cuspal interlinks have flashed in my mind. When the same was applied in finding out predictions, i understood the importance of finding out the Cusps and the inter link among them.. This way of interlink observation through Sub Lord method has relegated the following of Traditional Astrology. The Cuspal interlink method was refined and yielding clear predictions. When the idea of naming this system was discussed, all of my disciples have named it after me, as Bhaskara System of Astrology and the books are being published by the Thilak Publishers.

What are the importance of the Astrology ?

The Astrological predictions have moved away from the systems propounded by our ancestors, in the course of time. Astrologers have made use of their imaginations, and pseudo divine powers and made a mockery of Astrology, from it’s Scientific outlook.

19) The Prediction methods should evolve in a scientific way with out creating any ambiguity in prediction methodologies. I request all to bring up the Astrology with out relegating it in the spin of time.

Instead of finding out the real contributions of our ancestors and developing the Astrology by applying the true parameters, the use of Astrology as an earning tool will relegate astrology to a point of no return. The Astronomical calculation of yester years were not harmonised by the followers, instead they create conflicts. Hence leaving out the imaginary aspects, if we concentrate on the clear thoughts of our ancestors, with knowledge and wisdom, Astrology shall again develop in to a science.

I have adopted the Placida’s Bhaava calculation method in to our traditional astrology, in my system. The Planets footing and the footing of the Cusp are interlinked to acquire predictions in the Bhaskara System of Astrology. In this method we can acquire varied predictions for Twins for Dhisaa Bhukthi and Gotchaaraa.

Refining the predictions are the next level and that was done by applying the Sub Lord concept from the Paathaachaaraa method and interlinking the Cups, and presented the Bhaskara’s Cuspal Interlinks theory. The Cuspal Interlink system fulfils the modern Laboratory theory of Science in Astrology, where same result is acquired if a test is conducted for same parameters
